Erik Reily Fly Fishing Wyoming

Erik specializes in catch and release trips along the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. With its headwaters just North of Jackson Hole in Yellowstone National Park, the Snake River winds its way South through Jackson Hole below the majestic Teton Range. The river is home to the native Snake River Finespotted Cutthroat Trout and to some of the most spectacular scenery and wildlife viewing available. Early season fishing on the river from late-March through April can be fantastic.

In late June or early July, the Snake River really flourishes and produces some of the best dry fly fishing around until the first snow flies in early October. Our two most requested months are August and September because of the abundant fish so be sure to book early! Special accommodations can be made for cleaning and gutting the fish you catch. Choose from fly-fishing or arrange to fish with lures and tackle. All transportation is provided as well as the necessary fishing equipment including tackle, flies, and lures.

Mid-March – April trips are prior to the run off where the fish have an appetite and there are little to no crowds. It is a great time to catch Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and white fish along with many more. (?)

Late June – mid November trips after the runoff bring wonderful weather and hatches. In a lower water year, fishing on the Snake begins earlier in June. The Snake River generally clears by early July and becomes prime dry fly fishing towards the end of July.
